A brief
My Son ( eldest ) left school today
16 and now a man
but in my mind
I am still there at that time
remembering
when he was able
to surely fit
in my arms so
So this is my poem to him
Once so young so little
A smile a frown
But you had my hand
Together this world
We would conquer
Learn to walk learn to run
Along the way a stumble
Even a fall or two
It was always ok
For I was there for you so
Now time has come
Collected it's minutes
An you have become
A man my son
Walk tall walk proud
You are strong an brave
An the apple
Of your Fathers eyes
Always an forever

Beautiful. How proud you must be and how lucky your boys are to have such a loving, caring soul to call "Dad".
So sweet, loving. A proud father you must be.
As always your poetry touches my heart.
Very poignant piece - any parent with a child at this age will surely appreciate your words.
