This land your land my land our land
this home this place this earth
and all that live upon it so
the many creatures
that walk sink or swim
that fly and soar
that creep and crawl
the mighty trees that reach for the heavens
the lowdown hedgerows that hide
the ever unpresent creature of the night
the seas of green fields rolling away
to forests of mass holding shelter
for those that seek it so
flowers that bloom with such dignity
one would be mistaken for thinking
they surely was royalty
and bird songs that sing sonnets
one could never hope
to ever sit and write
how the heavens and the clouds
hold the blue skies
as if a Mediterranean sea
and how the light does pierce the blooms
of cotton wool
shining down on all that is below
giving warmth and life
too all that breath the very essence that is
your life your world your earth
my life my world my earth
our right to live freely
on our planet
